Wheel Truing London

Wheel repair workshop

Wheel truing London

Buckled wheel, loose spoke or rim rubbing after a pothole? Bike Clinique can inspect the wheel at Unit 1, The Swan Centre, Rosemary Road, SW17 0AR, then quote the right repair before work starts.

Wheel truing is not just winding spokes until the wobble looks smaller. The workshop checks rim condition, spoke tension, nipple condition, hub play and whether the wheel is still safe to repair. If a rim is cracked or the wheel needs spokes or parts, we will explain that before doing the work.

  • Road, gravel, hybrid, commuter and mountain bike wheel checks.
  • Side-to-side wobble, brake rub and loose spoke diagnosis.
  • Spoke tension check before quoting the repair.
  • Workshop-first repair route for Tooting, Wimbledon, Earlsfield, Balham, Wandsworth, Clapham, Putney and South West London riders.

When a wheel should be checked

Bring the bike in if the wheel visibly wobbles, catches the brake, has loose spokes, makes a pinging noise under load, or has taken a pothole hit. Riding a badly damaged wheel can make the repair more expensive.

Can Bike Clinique true a buckled bike wheel?

Yes. Bike Clinique can inspect a buckled wheel at the SW17 workshop and quote the right repair before work starts. Some wheels need spoke tension and truing; badly damaged rims or hubs may need parts or replacement.

When should I book wheel truing?

Book if the wheel wobbles side to side, rubs the brake pads or frame, has loose or broken spokes, or has gone out of true after a pothole or kerb hit.

Do you check spoke tension and wheel condition?

Yes. The workshop checks spoke tension, rim condition, nipple condition, hub play and whether the wheel is safe to repair.

How long does wheel truing usually take?

Most repairs and services are 24–72h, depending on parts and complexity. Wheel work can take longer if spokes, nipples, a rim or hub parts are needed.
