Terms and Conditions
1. General Information
These Terms and Conditions govern all transactions between Bike Clinique and its customers for custom bike builds, groupset upgrades, and related services.
By engaging our services, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully before proceeding with any purchase or service.
2. Custom Bike Builds
Consultation: A consultation will be conducted to discuss your requirements. Online consultations are available for customers outside our service area. Any changes to the agreed specifications after the consultation may incur additional charges.
Timeline: Custom bike builds typically take 4-6 weeks. Delays caused by third-party suppliers, unforeseen circumstances, or changes in specifications will be communicated promptly.
Deposit: A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total cost is required to confirm your order. The remaining balance must be paid upon completion and prior to collection/delivery.
Warranty: All custom builds come with a 12-month workmanship warranty. Manufacturer warranties apply to all components used.
Returns & Refunds: Custom builds are non-refundable due to their bespoke nature. Faulty components covered under warranty will be repaired or replaced.
3. Groupset Upgrades
Service Details: Groupset upgrades typically take 4 hours to complete. Customers will be notified of any delays caused by inventory or technical issues.
Pricing: Prices quoted include parts, labour, and VAT unless otherwise stated. Any additional components or services required will be discussed and charged separately.
Payment: Full payment is required upon completion of the upgrade before the bike is returned to the customer.
Warranty: Groupset upgrades include a 6-month workmanship warranty. Manufacturer warranties apply to all groupset components.
Returns & Refunds: Groupset upgrades are non-refundable. Faulty components covered under warranty will be repaired or replaced.
4. Collection and Delivery Service
Service Area: Our collection and return service is available within a 5-mile radius of SW17 0BA. For groupset upgrades and custom builds, we cover areas within the M25 and aim to expand to the whole of England.
Delivery Costs: Delivery costs are the responsibility of the customer and will be communicated during the booking process.
Responsibility: We take every precaution to ensure your bike is transported safely. However, we are not liable for any damage caused by circumstances outside our control (e.g., accidents, theft, or natural disasters).
Scheduling: Collection and return times will be agreed upon in advance. Customers must ensure availability during the scheduled times.
5. Payments
Accepted Methods: We accept payments via cash, debit/credit cards, bank transfers, and select Cycle to Work Scheme vouchers.
Late Payments: Late payments may result in additional charges or delays in service delivery.
Non-Payment: If payment is not received within 14 days of completion, we reserve the right to retain the bike until full payment is made.
6. Cancellations and Changes
Custom Builds: Cancellations must be made within 48 hours of placing the order. After this period, the deposit becomes non-refundable.
Groupset Upgrades: Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled service. Late cancellations will incur a fee of £50.
Changes to Orders: Any changes to your order may result in additional charges and/or delays.
7. Online Consultations
Customers can schedule online consultations for custom bike builds and groupset upgrades. These consultations are designed to provide guidance and ensure accurate specifications.
A consultation fee may apply, which will be deducted from the final invoice if the service is booked.
8. Liability
Workmanship: We guarantee high-quality workmanship and adhere to industry standards. However, we are not liable for damage caused by improper use, accidents, or third-party modifications after the service.
Components: We are not responsible for defects in manufacturer-supplied components but will assist in claiming warranties where applicable.
Customer Responsibility: Customers are responsible for ensuring their bike is in suitable condition for upgrades and that they provide accurate information during consultations.
9. Warranty Claims
All warranty claims must be accompanied by proof of purchase.
Warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, misuse, or damage caused by third-party services.
10. Privacy Policy
We respect your privacy. Any personal information collected will only be used for service delivery and will not be shared with third parties without your consent.
11. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes will be resolved amicably. If a resolution cannot be reached, disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in London, UK.
12. Amendments
Bike Clinique reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Customers will be notified of significant changes.
