Bike Repair

Bike Repair, Done Properly

Most bikes land on my bench because something just doesn't feel right — and nine times out of ten it's the setup, not you. Bring it into the workshop at The Swan Centre and I'll take a proper look, tell you straight what's going on, and fix it the way it should have been done in the first place. I'm Freddie, and I've been doing this since 2012.

How a repair works here

No mystery, no upsell. Here's the order of play:

  • You bring it in. Drop the bike at the workshop, tell me what it's doing, when, and how it feels.
  • I inspect it. A free safety check tells me what's actually wrong versus what looks wrong.
  • I explain it. You get a clear quote and plain English on what needs doing and what can wait.
  • I fix it properly. Most jobs go back to you in 24-72 hours. Parts or complex builds can take longer, and I'll tell you upfront if that's the case.

Can't get to the workshop? Collection and delivery is available by request for a small fee.

Questions riders ask me

How much does a bike repair cost?

It depends on what's actually wrong, which is why the safety check and quote are free. You'll know the price before I touch a spanner — no surprises on collection.

How long will my repair take?

Most repairs are done within 24-72 hours. Minor jobs can sometimes be turned around same-day by request, and anything needing ordered parts or a full strip-down I'll flag before you leave.

Do you collect and deliver?

Yes, by request for a small fee. It's handy if you're tight on time or the bike isn't rideable — just ask when you book.

Where's the workshop?

I'm based at The Swan Centre. Easy for local riders to drop in and the natural choice if you're nearby and want the job done right.

My bike feels off but I can't describe why. Is that a problem?

Not at all — that's most of what I see. "It just isn't right" is plenty to start with. I'll find the cause, usually in the setup, and sort it.

Bike not feeling right?

Start with the free safety check. I'll inspect it, explain what's going on, and give you a clear quote before any paid work starts.
