E-Bike Brake Service in London

E-bikes put far greater demands on braking systems. The extra weight and assisted speed mean pads wear faster, rotors run hotter and fluid degrades sooner. We service e-bike brakes with that in mind at our Swan Centre workshop.

Hydraulic disc brake diagnosis

Bleed quality, piston balance, rotor alignment, pad contamination and lever feel checked properly.

Road, gravel, MTB and e-bike

Shimano, SRAM, Magura, TRP/Tektro and e-bike brake systems inspected at the SW17 workshop.

Quote before work

Free drop-off check first. If paid work is needed, we explain the fault and quote before work starts.

What we look for

  • Brake pad inspection and replacement with e-bike rated compounds
  • Hydraulic bleed using manufacturer-specified fluid and procedure
  • Rotor wear measurement and upgrade advice for heavier setups
  • Motor cut-off sensor and brake lever switch check

Why brake problems need proper diagnosis

Squealing, rubbing or weak braking is not always solved by fitting new pads. Contamination, glazing, warped rotors, poor bleed, uneven pistons, hose issues or the wrong pad compound can all cause the same symptoms. Bike Clinique checks the system as a whole so the fix is the right one.

FAQs

Do e-bike brakes need servicing more often?

Yes. The additional weight and higher average speeds increase pad and rotor wear. We recommend a brake check every six months or sooner if performance drops.

Can you service brakes on any e-bike brand?

We service brakes on all major e-bike platforms including Bosch, Shimano Steps, Fazua and Specialized systems. Bring it in for a free inspection.

Will you check the motor cut-off sensor?

Yes. A faulty brake lever sensor can prevent the motor from cutting power when you brake. We test this as part of every e-bike brake service.
