Mountain Bike Brake Bleed in London

Trail riding hammers your brakes. Mud, water ingress and heat cycling degrade fluid faster than road use. We bleed and service mountain bike brakes at our Swan Centre workshop, keeping your stopping power reliable for the trails.

Hydraulic disc brake diagnosis

Bleed quality, piston balance, rotor alignment, pad contamination and lever feel checked properly.

Road, gravel, MTB and e-bike

Shimano, SRAM, Magura, TRP/Tektro and e-bike brake systems inspected at the SW17 workshop.

Quote before work

Free drop-off check first. If paid work is needed, we explain the fault and quote before work starts.

What we look for

  • Full bleed for Shimano, SRAM, Hope and Magura MTB systems
  • Lever free-stroke and bite-point adjustment
  • Seal and hose inspection for trail damage and contamination
  • Pad and rotor condition check with replacement advice

Why brake problems need proper diagnosis

Squealing, rubbing or weak braking is not always solved by fitting new pads. Contamination, glazing, warped rotors, poor bleed, uneven pistons, hose issues or the wrong pad compound can all cause the same symptoms. Bike Clinique checks the system as a whole so the fix is the right one.

FAQs

How do I know my MTB brakes need bleeding?

Signs include a spongy lever, inconsistent bite point, or the lever pulling all the way to the bar. If braking feels weaker than it used to, a bleed is likely overdue.

Do you service four-pot calipers?

Yes. We work on two-pot and four-pot calipers from all major manufacturers including Shimano, SRAM and Hope.

Should I upgrade my rotors when I get a bleed?

Not necessarily. We measure rotor thickness and check for warping during every service. If they are within spec, there is no reason to replace them.
