Hydraulic Disc Brake Bleed in London

Air in the hydraulic line robs you of braking power and lever feel. We bleed Shimano, SRAM, Campagnolo, Hope and Magura systems using manufacturer-specified fluid and procedures. Visit us at the Swan Centre, SW17 for a free inspection.

Hydraulic disc brake diagnosis

Bleed quality, piston balance, rotor alignment, pad contamination and lever feel checked properly.

Road, gravel, MTB and e-bike

Shimano, SRAM, Magura, TRP/Tektro and e-bike brake systems inspected at the SW17 workshop.

Quote before work

Free drop-off check first. If paid work is needed, we explain the fault and quote before work starts.

What we look for

  • Full system bleed with manufacturer-recommended mineral oil or DOT fluid
  • Lever and caliper seal inspection during every bleed
  • Hose check for wear, kinks and contamination
  • Post-bleed pad bed-in and bite-point adjustment

Why brake problems need proper diagnosis

Squealing, rubbing or weak braking is not always solved by fitting new pads. Contamination, glazing, warped rotors, poor bleed, uneven pistons, hose issues or the wrong pad compound can all cause the same symptoms. Bike Clinique checks the system as a whole so the fix is the right one.

FAQs

How often should hydraulic brakes be bled?

Most manufacturers recommend a bleed at least once a year, or sooner if the lever feels spongy or pulls closer to the bar than usual.

Do you use mineral oil or DOT fluid?

We use whichever fluid your brake system requires. Shimano and Magura use mineral oil; SRAM and Hope use DOT fluid. We never mix the two.

Can you bleed brakes while I wait?

We focus on doing the job properly rather than rushing. Turnaround is typically one to two working days, confirmed when we quote.
